Global Aquatics is thrilled to recognize the exceptional performances of the Mongolian junior swimming team at the Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI™) Swimming Championships 2024. The events, held in Bangkok, Thailand, showcased the remarkable talent of young swimmers from across Asia, and Mongolia’s athletes delivered impressive results across both the February 2-4 Long Course and August 17-18 Short Course Championships.
National Record Achievement
A standout performance came from Altannar.A, who clinched 4 Gold Medals in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m breaststroke in the 14-15 age group. Notably, Altannar set a new Mongolian national record in the 1500m breaststroke, demonstrating exceptional skill and dedication to the sport. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Mongolian swimming and serves as an inspiration to future generations of athletes.
Highlights from the February 2024 AOSI™ Long Course Championships:
The Mongolian Youth Swimming Team demonstrated unprecedented success at the AOSI™ Long Course Championships 2024, securing numerous medals and even setting a national record.
- Altannar.A – 4 Gold Medals in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m breaststroke (14-15 age group), setting a new Mongolian record in the 1500m.
- Gurdavaa Enerelen – 2 Silver, 2 Bronze (12-13 age category).
- Amun.B – 4 Silver Medals (10-11 age category).
- Oyun.Ch – 1 Silver, 1 Bronze in relay swimming.
- Ujin.O – 2 Bronze Medals in the 200m medley and 200m backstroke (14-15 age group).
- Tansaglan.O – 2 Bronze Medals in the 50m and 100m breaststroke (8 age group).
- Javkhlan.U – 1 Gold in the 50m breaststroke, 2 Silver Medals in 100m and 200m breaststroke.
- Boditsogt (Orchlon School) – 2 Silver Medals in 50m backstroke and 200m breaststroke, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze in the 100m and 400m breaststroke.
- Unrnukh.B (Goviin Uschid Club) – 1 Silver in the 100m butterfly.
- S. Orgilbayar (Goviin Uschid Club) – 1 Bronze in the 100m breaststroke.
- Enkhtogs (Goviin Uschid Club) – 3 Bronze Medals in the 100m breaststroke, 100m backstroke, and 100m butterfly.
- Ch. Anand (Goviin Uschid Club) – 2 Silver Medals in the 100m backstroke (1:16.08) and 50m breaststroke (49.90).
- Ch. Anand (Goviin Uschid Club) – 2 Silver Medals in the 100m backstroke (1:16.08) and 50m breaststroke (49.90).

The Goviin Uschid Club also claimed a Gold Medal in the 4x50m mixed men’s relay (under 8 years) and a Bronze in the 4x50m mixed women’s relay (14-15 age group).
Success at the August 2024 AOSI™ Short Course Championships:
Building on their February success, the Mongolian team continued to excel at the AOSI™ Short Course Championships in August 2024, where they faced fierce competition from 70 teams representing 14 countries. The team achieved a total of 4 Gold, 6 Silver, and 14 Bronze Medals, finishing 19th overall.
